Commissioning Consultant | Job in Tyne And Wear

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Consultant to join our team based in the North East region. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of various projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commissioning process from start to finish, including developing commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of commissioning tasks.
  • Conduct functional performance testing and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the commissioning phase.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to resolve any technical challenges and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all commissioned systems meet design intent and performance specifications.
  • Document and report on commissioning activities, findings, and recommendations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our commissioning processes by identifying areas for efficiency gains and best practices.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all aspects of the commissioning process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent). A Master's degree or professional engineering designation is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commissioning role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with relevant commissioning software and tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.
