Pricing and Commercial Analyst | Job in Essex

*Qualifications: *

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or similar role within a commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of pricing models, market research methodologies, and business analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Proficiency in using statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, Excel, or similar tools.

Candidate Expectations

We are seeking a dynamic and analytically-inclined individual to join our team as a Pricing and Commercial Analyst in the East of England. This role is critical to our business as it involves strategic analysis, pricing optimization, and market research to support our commercial growth objectives.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand pricing trends and identify opportunities for improving our product pricing strategy.

  • Develop and implement sophisticated analytical models to optimize pricing and revenue opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure pricing aligns with market conditions and company objectives.

  • Analyze and interpret complex data to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.

  • Create comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.

  • Identify areas for cost reduction and profit improvement through rigorous analysis and the implementation of innovative pricing strategies.

  • Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices in pricing and commercial strategy, and apply this knowledge to our business context.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Business Analytics. A professional certification in pricing (e.g., Certified Pricing Professional) is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in a pricing or commercial analyst role, preferably within the East of England region.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets using statistical software packages such as R, Python, or SAS.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
